| ForgeTemp grader cutting edges offer balanced resistance to abrasion wear and impact breakage. MaxTemp grader cutting edges are through-hardened for greater strength in those tougher operations where breakage is a problem. And for high abrasion, low impact applications, Surface-Hardened curved single bevel grader cutting edges give you increased hardness on the wearing surfaces that meet or exceed all written specs. Choosing the right edge for your job will result in reduced labor costs and reduced down-time required for changes.
Bucyrus Blades offers a complete line of cutting edges for every grader make and model. Cutting edges range from 1/2" x 6" standard Curved Double Bevel through the 1" x 8" Heavy Duty Curved Double Bevel. Use either ForgeTemp or MaxTemp Heavy Duty cutting edges (3/4" x 8" or 1" x 8" CDB) for reduced downtime and operating costs. They are curved, no flat to provide better penetration and rolling action, and lend greater rigidity to the entire moldboard assembly for reduced moldboard distortion.
Compared to standard cutting edges, our Heavy Duty CDB cutting edges give you up to 266% more working steel below the moldboard, where it really counts, and up to 234% more strength. They outwear ordinary cutting edges, and extend bolt life because of fewer changes.
